MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression “Isang” continues to traverse Northern Luzon, as it is now in the vicinity of Quirino province, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday.
In its 2 p.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said Isang’s center was in the vicinity of Maddela, Quirino, moving west northwestward at 20 kilometers per hour, with maximum sustained winds at 20 kph and gustiness of up to 90 kph.

The following areas are under Storm Signal no. 1: Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Aurora, and the northern portion of Nueva Ecija (Lupao, Carranglan, Pantabangan, San Jose City).

Pagasa said that Isang will continue traversing over Northern Luzon over the next 12 hours and will emerge over the West Philippine Sea and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Saturday morning or afternoon, and could intensify into a tropical storm after emerging over the WPS.
